Funny story: in March as I was learning to ride my motorcycle I dropped in on my foot. It hurt but I was running this half marathon the next weekend so I ignored the pain, taped my ankle for the run and ran the fastest I've ever run at that distance. Two weeks ago I ran another half marathon in Hawaii. The pain in my ankle hadn't really gone away though, I haven't worn high heels in months because of it, so I finally bothered to go get it looked at. Turns out I sprained it in March and then ran two half marathons and a 15k 🙄🙄🙄. The verdict from my very nice, very patient Dr? A cortisone injection, no running for a month and nothing but tennis shoes and insoles too, with the potential for an MRI of it doesn't get better. So I'm gonna spend this month getting into cross training so I can actually do the next 4 half marathons on my 2018 calendar without losing my cardio performance. Anyone wanna go swimming or to spin class?? #lessonswerelearned #badassordumbass – from Instagram
