I remember the first day I went to yoga I was so nervous. I didn't have a yoga body. I wasn't flexible. What if someone noticed that my heels didn't reach the ground in downward dog? What if my extra fat was so distracting and gross to look at that I'd have to wear layers and be too hot in hot yoga? I was SO hard on myself before that first class. And then I got in there and has this incredible realization: I am strong. I tried super hard. Everyone was SO good at yoga maybe I can get better and be that good someday. It was an endorphin rush, sure, but it was also reassurance that I can try ANYTHING. That first day was over a year and a half ago. My heels still don't touch the ground in downward dog. I'm still not crazy flexible. But I'm strong as hell and I have mfing abs. And tomorrow I get to go take a workshop with @catcvengros one of my favorite people in the whole world and I could not be more grateful for the chance to continue to get better. #yogaalmosteverydamnday #goalsaf – from Instagram
